Amazing Stars!

Hi Mark and Claire,

Thanks for another wonderful weekend at the bunkhouse where our 15 kids climbed the mountain by 9.30am, soaked every piece of clothing we took, visited King Arthur's Labyrinth, spent a couple of hours on the beach and had a camp fire to roast marshmallows - and that was all on the first day!

It was delightful to see Alec (who regularly complains about getting into our local swimming pool because it's too cold) sitting up to his chest in the stream. This morning before school Aran (6) said "I wish we could wind back the world to Friday, then we would be going to Wales"!

Dear Mark and Clare,

With the last item of muddy clothing now washed and dry I have finally found the time to mail you and express our huge gratitude for letting us stay at the bunkhouse last weekend. I wish you could have seen and heard the children as they went to school on Monday.

Grace ran into the classroom shouting "Miss Sutton, Miss Sutton our garden was a mountain".

Harry proudly showed her the rams skull and the bird of prey talon, Miss Sutton was a bit squeamish about the later.

By mid morning news of the trip had reached the head teacher and they were all called to her office to 'tell her all about it'.

As Mums we have spent the week reminiscing about a truly unique and wonderful experience. To witness our children explore, and more importantly appreciate, the beauty of the countryside surrounding your home was, to put it simply, 'awesome'. And it is for this reason that we would love to visit again in the spring and were wondering if we could book for a weekend in May 2007? Would the weekend of 4th - 7th be available?

Once again many, many thanks for a weekend that will be etched on the memories of these children ( and their mums) forever.

Dear Mark and Claire

I am emailing to thank you for ourlovely stay with you on 28th-30th April 2006. We came as part of the ____ Course, however since both D and I were so impressed with the venue and the views; we are planning our next visit as we speak!

I know that the group of young people who attended with us, enjoyed themselves immensely. This was aided by the beautiful views and the hot sun! They are busy fundraising to enable them to revisit you.

Thank you again

LJ & DD

Mark,

I would like to thank you for a most pleasant stay at the bunkhouse (I still have no idea how to pronounce it) and for your advice and hospitality.

Probably see in a few months, oh and the bunk house down below was very nice. Must book it next time.

All the best

PS

Dear Mark and Clare,

I'm writing to say thank you from everyone in our group who stayed at the bunkhouse last weekend for making us so welcome. You've got a fantastic setup and are up there with the most welcoming and helpful hosts I've come across on my travels so far. It's nice to see people genuinely caring and going out of their way to make a few people a little happier and more comfortable.

We had a fantastic day on Cadair (thanks for the route advice), we couldn't have been luckier with the weather and the views out to the Lynn Peninsula are stunning. I'll be coming back soon to do the Arrans (on my own if no-one else can come across with me).

Thanks again and I hope to see you soon,

MW

Hi Clare

Just to say thanks very much for all your kindness and hospitality last weekend. We really appreciated your extra efforts to make the place warm. It was fine although I don't know how the boys felt in their bathroom as us girls hoodwinked the heater for ours! The place itself is beautiful and perfect for the ethos. Many thanks for your extra help with things such as the walk, fire and use of your kitchen. Also was just more relevant to us as we were using it in the daytime for training whereas I suppose most groups would be out and about all day.

All in all a great weekend much enjoyed by everyone despite the chill!

Many Thanks

TW

Hello,

Thank you once again for our lovely break with you. We both really enjoyed ourselves. Millie has done nothing but sleep since we got back!! The journey wasn't too bad back, we were both exhausted too!!! it was a silly time to get up! We left a little of the pine as these enormous big frogs kept jumping out and we felt bad for burning their home!

Take care,

E & J

Dear Mark and Clare,

Thank you for an excellent overnight stay. There was a real feeling of adventure about the whole trip: this was the first time our group have made an overnight stay and they loved it. Bwlchcoediog is in a beautiful valley. We lived in a lovely area in Pembrokeshire yet all the students were very impressed by the much hillier landscapes and that sense of being close to the natural world that comes with staying in what you term a near camping experience. One of the boys said he got up early especially to hear the morning birds. All students regretted having to leave and have asked again and again if we can make a return journey and stay longer. Thank you again for helping to make our little adventure such a success. It is exactly the sort of place to bring a group of young people for a safe stay that still retains a sense of adventure.

Yours sincerely,

MR

Dear Mark and Clare,

Thank you for letting us stay at the bunkhouse. I really enjoyed staying there, it was a blast. I really enjoyed the fire and the breakfast was lovely. The way that it is out in the countryside, to wake up to the view was great.

Yours sincerely,

AW

Hi Mark, thanks for a great time your bunk house is ideal for our sort of group. I hope you found everything in order. Everyone enjoyed it and we shall be back. Hope to bring more people next time.

Dear Mark and Clare,

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to come back sometime for longer and just enjoy the silence of the Welsh countryside. It was great. Thanks again

Mark,

Thanks for the weekend, it was brilliant.

Couldn't have wished for a better place, or a more amenable host!

Thanks again,

DJ
